Each result is unique, and this is to be used only as a guideline. I may adjust aftercare routine based on variables such as but not limited to:
⬞Pigment choice
⬞Skin condition
⬞Skin type
⬞Regeneration of skin
⬞Lifestyle
⬞Bleeding during treatment
⬞Area of treatment
⬞Frequency of treatment
Healed results will vary from person to person based off factors above
Day 1 (Day of)
⬞2 hours after your appointment clean the aftercare ointment off your brows with water and cotton rounds. These should just barely be damp, not saturated. Gently ‘dab’ do not ‘wipe’
⬞Follow with a VERY thin layer of aftercare cream
⬞Do this every 2-3 hours to avoid buildup of lymph/blood. This will prevent excess scabbing and infection by assisting in the skin's natural healing process.
Day 2-3
⬞Gently clean the brows up to 4 times/day followed by a thin layer of aftercare cream.
⬞Continue to blot the brows in between. (Oily-6x/day & Dry 3x/day)
Day 4-14
⬞Gently clean the brows morning and night followed by a thin layer of aftercare cream.
⬞Continue to blot brows (Oily-6x/day & Dry 3x/day)
Day 15-45
⬞Gently clean the brows morning and night. Only use aftercare cream in the evening or if the area feels dry/itchy
What does the healing process look/feel like?
Day 1
⬞Swollen, dark and warm (reddish) tone. It may feel like a sunburn
Week 1
⬞Wide, piecey, or slightly raised. The skin may feel ‘itchy’ or ‘tight’ in some areas, and intensified color due to ink oxidizing
Week 2-3
⬞The skin is healing over the area so it will appear patchy, uneven and may even disappear completely until the skin heals over. This is called the ‘ghost phase’ and can be at different times for each client. Itching/flaking may appear. DO NOT PICK or exfoliate the area as it will take pigment with it
Week 4-6
⬞Skin is generally healed and true color is visible.
What to AVOID
7-10 Days
⬞Steam
⬞Shower/Bath water
⬞Exercise/sweat
⬞Cleanser on unhealed area
2-3 weeks
⬞Dusty environments
⬞Open air vehicles (ie, bike, scooter, boat)
⬞Open bodies of water (ie ocean, lakes, rivers)
⬞Extreme Humidity
⬞Cosmetic products (ie, brow powder, gel, lipstick)
4-6 weeks
⬞Sun/tanning
⬞Chem peels
⬞Laser
⬞Threading/Waxing
⬞Dye/Henna
⬞Oil, exfoliants, anti-aging/acne, active ingredients on forehead or eyelids
Other factors that will negatively impact healed results
⬞Skincare
⬞Picking/scratching/touching
⬞Excess drinking/smoking
⬞Sleeping on the side of your face
⬞How closely you follow aftercare
Failure to follow these instructions can result in, but not limited to:
⬞Premature pigment loss
⬞Uneven healing
⬞Patchy areas
⬞Blurred hairstrokes
⬞Unwanted undertone
⬞Frequent follow ups
What to expect at touch up
Appointment time is less since there is less work to do. I will have you repeat aftercare.
The brows will be less intense and noticeable than your initial treatment.
Caring for brows long term
⬞Regularly scheduled annual visits are recommended to keep the brows looking fresh. At each annual appointment we will determine whether any color or shape adjustments should be made.
⬞A high quality SPF should be used on healed brows just like any other tattoo. However, it should be noted that this will break down the color quicker.
⬞Excess oil, sweat, water should be avoided
⬞Changing your linens should be done frequently
